A jar of fruit harvest. Last of the 2014 peaches

I was wondering when these were going to ripen but they ended up being crunch tasty peaches this year instead of soft ones. Which was actually awesome as they didn’t fall off and rot when neglected for a week or so 😉 Small but tasty. Definitely not tart, even hubby liked them this year. I…

End of April 2014 update.

Surprisingly, my neglected garden isn’t as bountiful as it was when I tended to it more. Peaches are small, blueberries are fewer… Still, the few I get taste good. My pineapple guava is flowering once again, I think last year it didn’t do so much. And excitingly, my olive tree is flowering. The flowers are…

2014 Couple of small peaches ready to eat and some brutal thinning.

Just checking which tree is which….these peaches are tropic princes….they seem to have flowered first before the tropic beauty…which is actually different from previous years! Usually they’re pretty close to each other but the Tropic Prince is ready to eat and the tropic beauty is only now just ready for thinning. And the tropic beauty…

2013 peaches.

Slap wrist, I’ve been neglecting all my green babies recently and these peaches are so small as I didn’t thin then out properly. And I hadn’t watered in a week so a few wrinkled and fell off! What a shame – shame on me!

More tasty homegrown edibles from earlier this month.

Fresh homegrown peaches everyday.

I love picking a few ripe peaches everyday before work/school. Uploading pix as a record of how much I get. I guess I can count them… Or post pics of every harvest 🙂

Harvest Monday

Pulled up almost all my carrots. They’re getting stringy roots off the main carrot so probably means its done growing. something quite satisfying a out pulling up carrots, you never know how big it will be and what shape! The yellows and oranges are easy to grow. The reds are tougher. Although all my seeds…

Tasty Tropic Beauty peaches

These taste SO good. They’re bigger and tastier than the Tropic Prince peaches this year. Last year was the reverse. Yum!

Peaches galore! 2012 much more plentiful than 2011

I’m quite impressed and proud of these little trees – if you have been following at all, I bought these little $10 trees from Home depot in these tiny little 1/3 Gallon containers around winter 2010-2011 and last season I had half a dozen or so peaches from each tree. This year is doing much…
